Hitachi Construction Machinery Australia invites applications for a Workshop Mechanic at our Cavan (Adelaide) branch. You will service Hitachi and Bell equipment, perform assembly, pre-delivery checks, diagnostics and maintenance, with OEM training and mentorship to advance your skills within a global manufacturer.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology, Diesel Mechanics or equivalent trade qualification.
• Heavy Vehicle/Truck Mechanics encouraged to apply.
• Earthmoving equipment experience highly regarded.
• Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
• Good communication skills and a team-oriented approach.
• Ability to effectively diagnose and solve technical issues.
• Heavy Rigid and Forklift licences preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Work on Hitachi and Bell equipment, including assembly, pre-delivery inspections, diagnostics, repairs and maintenance.
• Follow OEM training and mentor guidance to develop skills and progress in the role.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure safety and quality workmanship.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a motivated Workshop Mechanic to join our team at our Cavan branch. As part of our Workshop Team, you'll work on industry-leading Hitachi and Bell equipment, carrying out machine assembly, pre-delivery inspections, diagnostics, repairs and maintenance. Backed by OEM training and experienced mentors, you'll have the opportunity to expand your skills while building a long-term career with a globally recognised manufacturer.

If you're a Light Vehicle or Truck Mechanic looking to transition into the heavy equipment industry, we'd love to hear from you. Hitachi can provide training, mentorship and support in upskilling to help expand your skills on our industry-leading equipment.

Available Rosters

• 5 days on, 2 days off
• 4 days on, 3 days off

About You

• Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology, Diesel Mechanics or equivalent trade qualification
• Heavy Vehicle/Truck Mechanics, or LV mechanics are encouraged to apply
• Earthmoving equipment experience (highly regarded)
• Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship
• Good communication skills and a team-oriented approach
• Ability to effectively diagnose and solve technical issues
• Heavy Rigid and Forklift licences (preferred but not essential)
