Job summary

Hitachi Construction Machinery (Australia) Pty Ltd is seeking a Field Service Mechanic based in Launceston. You will perform diagnostics, repair and maintenance on Hitachi and Bell equipment at customer sites, delivering hands-on service and building strong customer relationships.

• Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology, Diesel Mechanics or equivalent.
• Current driver’s licence.
• Ability to work independently and solve technical issues.
• OEM or earthmoving equipment experience (highly regarded).
• Commitment to safety, quality workmanship and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Providing onsite technical support on Hitachi equipment including diagnostics, repair and maintenance.
• Building and maintaining excellent rapport with our customer base.
• Completion and submission of all relevant paperwork.
• Conducting your work in compliance with all quality and safety standards and procedures.

The Opportunity

As a Field Service Mechanic, you'll work with industry-leading Hitachi and Bell equipment, delivering expert diagnostics, repairs and maintenance directly to our customers. Based out of our Launceston branch and reporting to the Service manager; this role offers variety, responsibility and the opportunity to develop your technical skills while working alongside a supportive and experienced team.
