Job summary

Honeywell is seeking a Field Service Engineer to perform pre-commission activities, site supervision, training and remote troubleshooting across customer sites in Australia. The role emphasizes instrument calibration, loop checks, and coordination with regional teams to support APAC and global operations.

The ideal candidate will have a engineering degree with 5 years in turbomachinery industries (Oil & Gas, LNG, PowerGen), plus experience with instruments, control systems, and hazardous areas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Instrumentation or related discipline).
• 5 years’ relevant experience with turbomachinery (compressors, steam turbines, gas turbines) in industrial environments, especially Oil & Gas, LNG, or PowerGen.
• Experience with industrial instrumentation (flow, pressure, temperature transmitters, and control valves) such as Rosemount, Honeywell, Yokogawa, Fisher, CCI.
• Experience with control system and DCS platforms such as Allen-Bradley PLC, Siemens PLC, Honeywell Experion DCS, Emerson Delta-V, Yokogawa Centum VP, CCC Prodigy, CCC Vanguard.
• Experience in inspecting control panels including bill of materials, and detailed wiring diagrams.
• Knowledge of hazardous area classifications and NEMA standards for panel construction and certifications.
• Knowledge of Modbus protocol and other industrial communication standards (Profibus DP, HART).
• Proficient in MS Office
• Detail-oriented with a high degree of ownership and accountability
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Must be able to obtain security clearance
• Maintain Safer Together, OEUK and other regulatory medicals
• Successfully complete BOSIET / FOET courses

Responsibilities

• Pre-commission activities including system checkout, instrumentation, calibration, loopchecks, and communication testing on customer sites.
• Customer management, training and installation/site supervision.
• Aftermarket and sales support.
• Remote technical support and troubleshooting.
• Supervises Field Engineers.
• Respond to change productively and handle other duties as required.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Support main region of work within Australia, rest of APAC (as needed), Global (sometimes)
