Job summary

ProFound People Pty Ltd is seeking a Field Service Mechanical Technician to service, maintain and repair engines at operating sites around Australia. The role involves travel to customer sites for scheduled servicing, overhauls, breakdown repairs and fault finding on large stationary gas engines and related equipment.

Ideal candidates bring a strong mechanical trades background with understanding of electrical and control systems.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining industrial gas or diesel engines in the field.

Responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled servicing, inspections and major overhauls on stationary gas engines and associated equipment at customer sites.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical faults during breakdowns, working methodically to restore equipment to safe and reliable operation.
• Assist with basic electrical and control system checks, reading diagrams and working alongside electrical technicians where required.
• Follow site safety requirements and permit systems in gas and oil operating environments.
• Complete service reports and job records accurately so that equipment history and recommendations are clear to the customer and the wider team.
• Travel to regional and remote sites across Australia, adapting to changing job scopes and schedules as work progresses.
