Job summary

Atlas Copco is seeking a Field Service Technician to service air compressor equipment across customer sites in Blacktown NSW. You will install components, diagnose faults, perform repairs, and carry out preventative maintenance.

The role offers field autonomy, supported by a technical team and structured training. Excellent communication, a customer-centric approach, and a valid Australian driver’s licence are required.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification (Fitter, Diesel Mechanic, Electrician or similar) with mechanical aptitude.
• Strong communication skills and a customer-centric mindset.
• Computer literacy and valid Australian driver’s licence.

Job description

As a Field Service Technician, you’ll work across a variety of customer sites, maintaining, repairing and upgrading air compressor equipment.

You’ll enjoy autonomy in the field, backed by strong technical support and a collaborative team environment.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Installing and assembling mechanical components

Diagnosing faults and completing onsite repairs

Carrying out preventative maintenance and equipment upgrades

Problem solving independently, with support available when needed

Trade qualification (Fitter, Diesel Mechanic, Electrician or similar) with a strong mechanical aptitude and hands‑on approach.

Effective communication skills, a customer‑centric mindset, and computer literacy.

Valid Australian driver’s licence and full working rights in Australia

Flexibility to participate in an on‑call roster (allowances apply).

Highly regarded but not essential: experience with compressed air systems.
