Job summary

Makita Australia is seeking an energetic Sales Representative for the QLD North region (Rockhampton to Gladstone). The role involves managing and growing the territory, building strong customer relationships, delivering product demonstrations, and supporting marketing initiatives across dealers and end users.

You will drive sales, participate in promotions and events, and report market activity while representing a global power tool leader.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years’ on-the-road sales experience.
• Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills.
• Experience with power tools, accessories or outdoor power equipment (highly regarded).
• Self-motivated, organised and results-driven.
• Comfortable conducting product demos, training and trade events.

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow sales across your assigned territory
• Build strong, long-term relationships with customers across all market segments
• Deliver product demonstrations, training and in-store merchandising
• Implement promotional activity and support marketing initiativesIdentify new business opportunities while maintaining existing accounts
• Achieve sales targets and provide regular market and activity reporting
