Job summary

Cummins is seeking a highly skilled, customer‑focused technician to provide application support and autonomous maintenance on Cummins engines at remote site operations in Western Australia. You will coach maintenance personnel, supervise on-site work and ensure minimal downtime.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the role is FIFO Perth (8 weeks on/6 off) supporting Rio Tinto at Robe Valley operations (Mesa A and Pannawonica).

Qualifications

• 2+ years post-trade experience required.
• 2+ years experience on Cummins HHP engines.
• Commitment to HSE and safety culture.
• Diesel trade qualification required.
• Experience with HHP engines beneficial.
• Strong interpersonal and influencing skills required.
• Team-building approach to supervision.
• Proficient computer skills and reporting.
• Onsite mining experience preferred.
• Mature, organized, methodical work style.
• Problem solver who can work autonomously.
• Movex competency is preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide application support and maintenance advice for Cummins engines.
• Coach maintenance personnel and train site staff.
• Supervise equipment servicing and parts sourcing as needed.
• Plan, arrange and supervise on-site work within site contracts.
• Minimise downtime and conduct regular inspections.
• Report early faults and schedule corrective work.
• Drive product improvements with site maintenance teams.
• Provide condition reports on serviced units.
• Follow the principal’s service schedules.
