Job summary

Allegiant Milling and Processing Solutions is seeking a hands-on field service technician to own the technical journey of our equipment on site across Australia. You’ll install, commission, optimise and support Meyer AI optical sorters and related systems for diverse customers.

Working with the commercial lead and engineering team, you’ll train operators, run tests, troubleshoot, and travel regularly, including overnight stays interstate and to New Zealand.

Qualifications

• Field service experience in processed/agri equipment.
• Trade/technical qualification highly regarded but not essential.
• Willingness to travel regularly, including overnight
• Experience with optical sorting or machine vision is valued.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission and set up optical sorters and related equipment.
• Train customer operators and maintenance teams.
• Carry out preventative maintenance and fault diagnosis.
• Provide remote support and configuration.
• Liaise with Meyer engineers on escalations.
• Run product testing, demonstrations and customer trials.
• Optimise machine settings for customer products and targets.
• Assess equipment fit and prepare test reports.
• Support technical discussions during sales.
• Check drawings, site readiness, and electrical/pneumatic requirements before installs.
