Job summary

Columbit in Australia is seeking a Field Service Technician to commission and install equipment, liaise with customers, suppliers and internal project teams, and undertake after-sales service repairs, maintenance and upgrades to keep operations running smoothly. You will travel to customer sites, perform tests, and ensure machine operation meets manufacturer specifications.

The role requires an Electrical Licence and Drivers Licence, plus 3+ years’ autonomous field service experience across food

Qualifications

• Hold Electrical Licence and Drivers Licence.
• 3+ years’ experience working autonomously as a Field Service Technician/Engineer across various sites.
• Must have experience in working with food production equipment and/ processed meat/poultry industry.
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the customer and internal sales and project teams to commission installations.
• Carry out machine installations, including conducting tests to ensure that machine is fully operational according to the manufacturer's specifications.
• Carry out repairs and service to equipment at the customer's request.
• Work within the constraints of customer health and safety protocols.
• Ensure that all spares and components used conform to manufacturer's specifications.
