Job summary

Global Express in Australia seeks a hands-on Maintenance Supervisor to lead the maintenance function across automated sortation systems and depot equipment at Banksmeadow. You will drive preventative maintenance, oversee urgent repairs, and manage a trades team to ensure safe, efficient operations.

You will apply strong electrical and mechanical maintenance expertise, read wiring diagrams, and work with PLCs and SCADA systems to support continuous processes.

Qualifications

• Experience leading maintenance/reliability teams in industrial environments.
• Strong background in electrical and mechanical maintenance of powered equipment.
• Knowledge of carton and package handling conveyor systems.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and technical documentation.
• Experience with PLCs, SCADA, 3-phase motors and pneumatics.
• Proven track record in process improvement and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of maintenance tradespeople with training and guidance.
• Ensure preventative maintenance and rapid repairs of automated sortation and freight handling equipment.
• Manage critical spare parts inventory and ensure tools/equipment availability.
• Develop and implement effective maintenance schedules and procedures.
• Collaborate with Engineering Leadership to drive process improvements.
• Maintain supplier and contractor relationships for maintenance support.
• Ensure work is performed with a safety-first mindset and WHS compliance.
