Job summary

Coliban Water is expanding frontline operations and seeks an experienced Team Leader to guide the formation and ongoing delivery of customer connection services across water, sewer and recycled water networks. You will lead a field operations team, coordinate contractors and ensure safe, compliant service restoration in a 24/7 environment.

Reporting to the Manager Rural and Urban Services within the Asset & Operations group, you’ll focus on safety leadership, customer advocacy and robust

Qualifications

• Experience leading teams in field operations.
• Sound knowledge of water/sewer connection standards and processes.
• Strong customer focus with the ability to handle complex matters professionally.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet service targets.
• Commitment to workplace safety, risk management and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team of Customer Connections Field Operators, fostering safety and performance.
• Coordinate contractors to achieve high-quality outcomes across safety, customer experience and compliance.
• Plan and oversee maintenance, repair and rectification across water, sewer and recycled water services.
• Act as escalation point for complex customer matters.
• Ensure works comply with legislation, regulations, standards and policies.
• Build relationships with customers, plumbers, contractors, councils and internal stakeholders.
• Monitor performance and drive continuous improvement in systems and processes.
• Support roster management, standby arrangements and out-of-hours response.
