Maintenance Australia Pty Ltd in Adelaide is seeking an Operations Manager to lead and optimize field services across residential and commercial painting, pool resurfacing, coatings and related trades. You will own day-to-day job delivery, guide the field team and help scale the business while preserving quality and personal service.

Qualifications

• Experience managing a mobile field team in a trade or service business.
• Responsibility for several jobs, teams or sites at the same time.
• Strong scheduling, planning and problem-solving skills.
• A sound understanding of labour costs, job margins and productivity.
• The confidence to lead team leaders, employees and subcontractors.
• Direct, fair and down-to-earth leadership style.
• Good customer communication and the ability to handle difficult conversations.
• Strong safety awareness and practical knowledge of site requirements.
• Confidence using job management software and business systems.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain the weekly job plan.
• Allocate team leaders, tradespeople, apprentices and subcontractors.
• Make sure labour, materials, vehicles, equipment and site access are ready.
• Keep several live jobs moving at the same time.
• Track quoted hours and costs against actual.
• Protect job margins and raise problems early.
• Support team leaders and help people perform at their best.
• Keep customers informed throughout the job.
• Ensure quality checks and handovers are completed properly.
• Maintain accurate job information, timesheets and progress updates.
• Managing safety, site requirements and compliance.
• Reducing delays, rework, confusion and wasted time.
• Helping develop practical systems that can be repeated as the business grows.
