National Parks & Wildlife Service in Mundamia, NSW, seeks an Aboriginal Identified Field Officer to support the Bushfire Management Program. The role involves mechanical fuel management, prescribed burns and wildfire response as needed, in a physically active outdoor setting.

The position requires fitness, team coordination and a willingness to travel to remote sites. Ongoing training and an opportunity to contribute to NSW’s natural heritage are offered.

Qualifications

• Aboriginal identity is a genuine aspect of the role under NSW law.
• Physically active outdoor work and field operations readiness.
• Ability to travel and work in remote locations with minimal supervision.

Responsabilités

• Deliver Bushfire Management Program including fuel management via mechanical works and prescribed burning.
• Contribute to wildfire suppression and emergency response during high fire risk.
• Undertake infrastructure maintenance, land management and visitor safety tasks.
