Sandvik Mining in Western Australia is seeking a Systems Technician – Automation and Newtrax to deliver hands-on support, commissioning, maintenance and repair of AutoMine and Newtrax systems across client sites and Sandvik workshops. You will diagnose complex issues, support field trials and collaborate with internal teams to optimise performance.

Based in Kewdale, Perth, the role requires strong diagnostic and safety-focused technical skills, and the ability to work in challenging site

Qualifications

You will provide hands-on technical support, commissioning, maintenance and repairs for automation systems.
Strong diagnostic skills to resolve complex field-based issues with safety in mind.
Experience working with mining equipment and site-based teams.

Responsibilities

Install, commission, maintain, and repair AutoMine and Newtrax systems at sites and workshops.
Deliver high-level technical support to customers, operators and service personnel.
Perform inspections and planned maintenance on drill rigs, loaders and trucks.
Conduct fault finding and root-cause analysis to prevent recurrences.
Support trials, testing and commissioning of product upgrades.
Engage with customers as a trusted technical advisor and ensure clear communication.
Collaborate with Automation, Engineering and Service teams to improve delivery.
Maintain knowledge of automation systems, networking and protocols; document activities clearly.
