Job summary

Autonomo is seeking Experienced OT Technicians to support DIDO or FIFO projects across the Bowen Basin. Roles involve installation, support and maintenance of autonomous and mining technology systems at multiple client sites. You will collaborate with customers, engineers and project teams to deliver safe, high-quality outcomes.

Roster is 7:7 (days and/or nights) DIDO. Strong background in mobile communications, radio systems and MineStar/ Caterpillar tech is highly regarded.

Qualifications

• Experience providing onsite operational and technical support.
• Background in communications for mining or heavy industry.
• Ability to install, support and maintain autonomous mining tech.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite operational and technical support to ensure project execution.
• Install and commission mining tech and communications solutions from multiple vendors.
• Support long-term projects as part of embedded site teams.
• Complete installation documentation with accuracy.
• Assist engineering with design of integration solutions.
• Ensure safety and site regulatory compliance.

Operational Technology Technician- Mining Technology & Communications

Autonomo is seeking experienced OT Technicians to support a range of DIDO or FIFO projects across the Bowen Bain. These roles form a critical part of our project delivery and long-term site teams, working at the forefront of autonomous mining technology.

We welcome applications from professionals with backgrounds including:

Communications Technicians (Radio, LTE / 4G / 5G)

Roster: 7:7 (days and/or nights) DIDO

The Role

As an OT Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, support and maintenance of autonomous and mining technology systems across a variety of client sites. You will work closely with customers, engineers and project teams to deliver safe, high-quality outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide onsite operational and technical support to ensure smooth project execution

Install and commission mining technology and communications solutions from multiple vendors for Tier 1 mining clients

Support long-term projects as part of embedded site teams

Complete accurate and detailed installation documentation

Provide technical input to assist engineering teams with the design of custom mounting and integration solutions

Ensure compliance with all safety, regulatory and site-specific requirements

What’s Required

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Mobile communications/network experience (LTE, WiFi, radio systems)

Experience with Heavy or Light Mobile Equipment

Current C- Class Driver's Licence

Abilit to pass pre-employment medical, drug and alcohol screening

Fleet Management System experience

Experience working on Cat 79EF, Cat 974C and Cat MD6310 highly regarded

Previous experience with Carerpillar MineStar Command (Level 1 or 2) and/or Komatsu FrontRunner systems is preferred.

Previous mining experience

Experience supporting autonomous HME operations

Working at Heights certification

High Risk Work Licence (EWP, LF)
