Job summary

Home Care Assistance Sunshine Coast is seeking Care Workers to join our casual talent pool on the Sunshine Coast. You will support clients in their homes and the community, providing personal care, companionship and transport assistance.

We offer flexible shifts, a Start Strong onboarding program, ongoing training and clear pathways for career progression within our growing team.

Qualifications

• Experience in aged care preferred; 1–2 years in home or facility.
• Be 18+ and an Australian citizen or permanent resident.
• Must have a reliable smartphone with data and a current driver’s licence.
• Willing to obtain required certifications such as First Aid, NDIS orientation, and police check.

About the Role:

Candidates must be 18+ years of age to be considered for this position.

Applicants must be Australian citizens or permanent residents to be eligible for this position.

As a Care Worker, you'll support our clients in their own homes and out in the community. Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with general domestic tasks, personal care and meal preparation.
• Providing companionship, emotional and social support.
• Providing Transport services.
• Ensuring the safety of clients during the service and supporting their needs.

The ideal candidate will have experience in either:

1 - 2 years as an aged Care Worker either in a participant's home or in an Aged Care Facility

A student nurse requiring experience in Aged Care. We have hours available to support you while you gain practical experience and continue your studies.

Licence/Certification

• A reliable smartphone with data (Compulsory).
• A current Australian driver's licence (Compulsory).
• Comprehensive car insurance (Compulsory).
• Police Check (National Police Certificate) or willingness to undergo as part of the employment process.
• A Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care); (compulsory or willing to obtain)
• Manual handling training (preferred but not necessary)
• First Aid / CPR Certification (Compulsory or willing to obtain)
• NDIS Worker Orientation Module (Compulsory or willing to obtain)
