Job summary

Care Professionals (Home Support Workers) Sunshine Coast is seeking compassionate team players to provide in-home support to clients. Flexible rosters, casual or permanent part-time roles with leave entitlements, and travel time reimbursement are offered.

Ideal candidates hold Cert III/IV in Aged Care/Individual Support or are nursing students, with own transport, strong empathy, and ability to work independently or in a team. Drivers license and safety awareness are required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide direct assistance to clients with home duties and personal care.
• Support clients with light housekeeping to maintain a clean living environment.
• Promote independence by encouraging participation in activities.
• Establish positive relationships through effective communication and listening.
• Maintain accurate records of client interactions and observations.
• Report changes or concerns regarding health or well-being.
• Comply with policies, procedures, guidelines and social care regulations.

Skills Required:

• Own transport to travel to clients homes (can travel up to 25-30 minutes)
• Qualification (Cert III or IV in Aged Care/Individual Support or Disability) or Nursing students
• Strong empathy and compassion towards others
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Cleaning experience, reliable and attention to detail
• Ability to remain calm under pressure
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations in the social care industry

Responsibilities:

1. 1. Provide direct assistance to clients with home duties and possible personal care
2. 2. Assist clients with maintaining a clean-living environment by performing light housekeeping duties.
3. 3. Promote independence among clients by encouraging them to participate in activities that enhance their physical and mental wellbeing.
4. 4. Establish positive relationships with clients through effective communication, active listening, and understanding their individual needs.
5. 5. Maintain accurate records of client interactions including observations made during visits or shifts.

7. 7. Comply with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines, and regulations related to social care practices.

Qualifications:

1. 1. A valid Australian driver's licence and access to a reliable registered vehicle and insurance
2. 2. Australian Federal Police Check (or willing to obtain one)
3. 3. First Aid and CPR certifications are preferred
4. 4. Qualification - Cert III or IV Individual Support or Aged Care or Disability (Nursing students please apply)
