Anglicare Southern Queensland in Caloundra is seeking a compassionate Home Care Worker to provide regular in-home support and daily living assistance to clients in the community. You will help with personal care, medication assistance, light domestic duties, and transport to appointments while promoting independence and dignity.

• Certificate III in inidividual support (or equivalent) required.
• Current National Police Certificate or equivalent background check.
• Current First Aid and CPR Certification required.
• Valid driver's licence and access to reliable transport.
• Good communication and basic computer skills.

Responsabilidades

• Provide personal care, daily living assistance and support to maintain independence at home.
• Assist with medication administration within competency and prescription guidelines.
• Assist with transportation and accompany clients to appointments as required.
• Perform light domestic duties and meal preparation to maintain a safe home environment.
• Support clients to meet social needs and follow care plans as directed.

About the role:

Our Home and Community Service is seeking a dedicated Home Care Worker to join our team.

Some suburbs of travel required in this role:

In this role, you will offer essential assistance to clients, aiding them in daily tasks to maintain independence and comfort at home. Your responsibilities will include personal care, medication assistance, transportation, domestic duties, and assisting clients to meet social needs.

• Performs a range of activities of daily living which may include but is not limited to hygiene, dressing and grooming, shopping, transport and respite in line with the prescribed care plan.
• Completes domestic duties of a routine nature within the client's home to assist in the provision of a clean, comfortable, safe and secure environment which may include cooking and preparing meals.
• Supports clients to meet their social needs.
• Follows work plan/schedule and prioritise key tasks.
• Assists in administering medication within the scope of the role and as deemed competent.
• Produces accurate written information using forms, log books and templates appropriate to the task.

About you:

• Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of a team and contribute to a positive, client-focused culture.
• Well-developed interpersonal skills, including the ability to work effectively and sensitively with a range of clients, including those with challenging behaviours, or clients from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
• Ability to organise and prioritise own work activities and schedules to meet established deadlines and achieve high quality work outcomes.
• Sound verbal and written communication abilities, including the ability to understand instructions, read and navigate road maps, comprehend care plans and communicate clearly and professionally with both clients and staff.
• Sound computer skills.

• Current Drivers Licence and own reliable vehicle
• Current First Aid and CPR Certification
• Certificate III in Individual Support, Aged Care, Home and Community Care, Disability Services or equivalent
