Job summary

Leidos Australia is seeking a Security Engineer to implement and operate managed capabilities for a Federal Government Department, spanning on-premises and cloud environments. You will protect systems in line with regulatory requirements and work closely with stakeholders to deploy secure platforms.

The role emphasises system hardening, continuous monitoring, incident response, and vulnerability management across the environment, aligning with ISM and PSPF controls while supporting enterprise

Qualifications

• Enterprise security operations experience in Federal Government environments.
• Experience with PSPF and ISM security controls.
• Familiarity with IdAM and ESA concepts is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Configure Windows and Linux systems and cloud tenancies.
• Deploy and maintain security capabilities in government environments.
• Lead vulnerability management and risk reporting.
• Investigate security alerts and support incident response.
• Follow Change Management processes and secure configurations.
• Ensure compliance with ISM, PSPF and Essential Eight standards.
• Support evidence gathering for audits and reporting.
