Job summary

Optus is seeking a Senior Manager Network Operations for Federal Government to lead a team of Tier 2 and 3 engineers, oversee Managed Network Services, and drive proactive, automation-first operations to boost service reliability and customer satisfaction.

As the senior escalation point, you will coordinate with customers, stakeholders, and partners to resolve major incidents and align security, governance, and operational delivery.

Qualifications

• NV1/NV2 security clearance or eligibility to obtain it.
• 12+ years in technical specialist or engineering roles in large-scale managed services or network operations.
• Leadership experience of large, multi-disciplinary technical teams.
• Deep technical expertise across network engineering, service assurance, incident management, and operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead a high-performing Tier 2/3 network engineering team.
• Own delivery and service assurance of Managed Network Services for Federal Government.
• Drive transformation to automation-led operations using AI and observability.
• Act as senior technical escalation authority for critical incidents and major service events.
• Ensure security, governance, and compliance across the Federal Government ops capability.
• Collaborate with Product, Network, Security, and vendor teams to improve performance.
