Job summary

Tasmania is seeking a kitchen professional to play a key role in delivering high-quality food service within a fast-paced commercial kitchen. This role covers lunch, dinner and events, preparing, cooking and presenting items to venue standards while upholding strict safety/HACCP practices.

The ideal candidate will have prior kitchen experience and formal Cert III/IV in Commercial Cookery (preferred), with flexibility for nights, weekends and public holidays.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a commercial kitchen (preferred).
• Understanding of Australian food safety standards and HACCP procedures.
• Flexibility to work variable casual hours, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
• Relevant formal qualifications of Cert III or IV in Commercial Cookery or relevant industry experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and present menu items to venue standards while maintaining strict food safety and hygiene practices.
• Support the existing kitchen team during busy periods, cover leave, and ensure smooth service across lunch, dinner, and event operations.
