Job summary

Target Business Services in Bridport, TAS is seeking a skilled Chef to join its hospitality team. You will be responsible for the preparation and presentation of meals to a consistently high standard, supporting efficient kitchen operations.

You will lead kitchen activities, organise daily prep, plan menus and ensure compliance with food safety and workplace health and safety requirements. The role requires relevant qualifications and at least one year of experience in a commercial kitchen.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Hospitality or Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery with 1+ year of relevant experience.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Chef in a commercial restaurant or hospitality setting.
• Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and present dishes to a high standard.
• Organise daily food preparation and kitchen activities.
• Menu planning and development of new dishes and seasonal options.
• Maintain food safety, hygiene and cleaning practices.
• Monitor ingredient quality, freshness and quantity.
• Train and supervise junior kitchen staff.
