Qualifications

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent required.
• Professional kitchen experience in a commercial setting.

• Knowledge of food safety, hygiene and WHS procedures.
• Ability to maintain consistent standards in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Strong teamwork and communication abilities.
• Reliable, motivated and professional approach to work.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends and public holidays.
• Ability to work independently and take responsibility for tasks.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver high-quality meals across a varied hospitality menu.
• Execute daily specials and assist with seasonal menu offerings.
• Maintain consistent food quality, presentation and portion sizes.
• Complete food preparation efficiently before and during service.
• Manage kitchen tasks effectively during busy trading periods.
• Maintain high standards of kitchen cleanliness and organisation.
• Follow food safety, hygiene and WHS standards.
• Assist with stock management, ordering and ingredient preparation.
• Monitor food supplies and support efficient use of kitchen resources.
• Work closely with other chefs, kitchen staff and front-of-house employees.
• Contribute practical ideas for menu development and new dishes.
• Support other members of the kitchen team when required.
• Help maintain an organised, productive and professional kitchen environment.
