Booroomooka Angus Stud is seeking a reliable station hand to join our family-owned Angus seedstock and commercial cattle business near Bingara. The role involves all aspects of day-to-day farm life, with a hands-on environment and opportunities to grow skills in cattle production.
The position is permanent and remunerations are competitive based on experience. A current manual driver’s license is required, HR license preferred, and a house is available on the property.

Cattle Station/ Mixed Farming
Booroomooka Angus is dedicated to breeding and growing out high quality cattle on two main properties located near Bingara. The properties cover 30,000 acres, have very good infrastructure, are well watered with river frontage and bores.The overall team consists of 10 full‑time employees and seasonal contractors.
The property for this position, is located 25km north west of Bingara, comprises 10,000 acres, undulating with some river flats. The property is used for growing out seedstock bulls, feeder steers and has a self replacing cow herd. Dryland fodder crops are grown. Centre Pivots are used for silage and hay production.
Cattle handling and husbandry
Farming of fodder crops dryland and irrigation
Repairs and maintenance, machinery, fencing and water
Data recording and use of on farm management apps
Undertaking property improvements
Pest and weed control
Ability to repair/maintain fences and water points
Competence in operating and maintenance of farm machinery
A current manual driver’s license with preference of HR Truck license or willingness to get one
Reliable and respectful of others, able to work unsupervised and also be part of a team
Attention to detail and pride in your work
