A family-owned and operated aggregation of cattle stations across Northern Queensland is seeking experienced Ringers to join the team based approximately 220km north-west of Richmond. This is a genuine cattle station role working alongside a manager and a small team of station hands. The operation relies primarily on motorbikes for mustering, supported by aircraft, and suits people who enjoy being part of a hardworking crew in remote cattle country. Reporting directly to station management, this role will suit someone with at least one season of station experience who understands the realities of northern cattle work. This is not an entry-level position and would best suit someone who can arrive ready to contribute from day one.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:- Muster cattle using ag bikes (and under aircraft) across large-scale northern grazing country.
- Process cattle through the yards, including participating in large muster and yard days.
- Carry out fencing, water maintenance, basic mechanical work and general station upkeep.
- Operate station machinery and equipment while supporting day-to-day property operations.
Selection Criteria:- Minimum one season of previous station hand experience on a cattle operation.
- Confident and capable ag bike rider with experience working in rough cattle country.
- Practical, hands-on approach with a strong work ethic and willingness to tackle physically demanding tasks.
- Current driver\'s licence and a positive attitude with the ability to work well within a small team.
Additional Particulars:- Single air-conditioned accommodation with private ensuite, all meals supplied by onsite cook and a well-maintained staff compound.
- Remuneration negotiated according to experience.
- Full-time station position. Up to two vaccinated dogs with good camp manners are welcome.
