Job summary

Aspire Early Education in Melbourne's western corridor invites a part-time Family Support & Inclusion Officer to strengthen family relationships and inclusion practices. You will collaborate with educators to ensure every child thrives while supporting enrolment, transitions, and community connections.

This newly established Lollipop Hill service offers a supportive environment, with focus on inclusion, funding pathways, and family engagement initiatives within a growing organisation.

Qualifications

• Diploma in ECE or higher.
• Current First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis & Asthma certifications.
• Valid Working with Children Check.
• Mandatory Reporting & Geccko Training.
• Strong understanding of child development and behaviour guidance.
• Experience supporting inclusion and diverse family needs (highly regarded).
• Knowledge of community supports and funding pathways.
• Understanding of the NQF and relevant legislation.

Responsibilities

• Support families throughout enrolment and orientation.
• Help children settle and work with educators to support transitions.
• Build strong relationships with children, families and educators.
• Lead conversations with families regarding behavioural, wellbeing and inclusion needs.
• Provide guidance to families with empathy, professionalism and solutions-focused approach.
• Assist families in accessing community services and funding programs, including ISS.
• Act as a connection between educators, leadership and families to meet wellbeing and inclusion needs.
• Support educators with behaviour guidance strategies and inclusive practices.
• Assis with inclusion funding applications and documentation.
• Contribute to family engagement initiatives, events and community partnerships.
• Support ongoing communication between the service and families to strengthen relationships and outcomes.

Education

Diploma in Early Childhood Education & Care

First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis & Asthma certifications
