Job summary

Young Academics Early Learning Centre in Mortdale is seeking an Inclusion Support Educator to join our passionate team.

You will work with educators, families and external professionals to create inclusive learning experiences, adapt environments and promote children's independence, participation and wellbeing. This role supports the learning environment and is not one-to-one, with a focus on safeguarding, observation and planning to support inclusive outcomes.

Qualifications

• ACECQA-approved qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care or working towards.
• Understanding of inclusive practice, child development and safeguarding.
• Experience or knowledge supporting children with additional needs is valued.

Responsibilities

• Support inclusive practices that encourage participation and engagement for all children.
• Adapt learning experiences, environments and resources to meet diverse needs.
• Collaborate with educators, families and external professionals to implement inclusion strategies.
• Support children's independence, wellbeing, positive behaviour and participation.
• Contribute to observations, documentation and planning to support inclusive outcomes.
• Promote a safe, respectful and child-safe environment where every child belongs.
