Job summary

Big Tyre Pty Ltd is seeking a hands-on Factory Labourer for our Toowoomba factory. The role involves working with rubber, polyurethane processes, operating lathes, and performing sand blasting and painting tasks alongside other manual duties.

You will work 6:30am–3:00pm, Monday to Friday, with a rostered day off about once a month. A strong work ethic, attentiveness to detail and the ability to work both in a team and independently are essential.

Qualifications

• Physically fit and enjoy hands-on work.
• Hold a valid driver's licence; forklift licence preferred.

Job description

Big Tyre specialises in tyres, wheels and rubber tracks which we design, manufacture and rebuild for the agricultural and mining industries. Providing goods and services to leading equipment manufacturers, dealers, and end users, we pride ourselves on quality and a high level of customer service. In fact, our manufactured goods are used in over 50 countries around the world.

Our team consists of about 20 people (including office and factory), and we enjoy working together in a professional and supportive environment.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The crew in the factory are the people we rely on to repair customer products and manufacture our high quality goods.

Your primary responsibilities are likely to vary but will include at least some of the following tasks: working with rubber, mixing and pouring polyurethane, operating lathes, sand blasting, and painting. Regardless of the task, the position will include regular use of various power tools and machinery and general manual labour.

The position is full-time (40 hours per week) to work in our Toowoomba factory from 6:30am to 3pm, Monday to Friday. A paid rostered day off (RDO) is available about once a month.
