Job summary

Truflo Pumping Systems in Bathurst is seeking a reliable Casual Labourer to assist in our blast booth, blasting steel components and equipment to prepare them for painting.

This is a physically demanding role with on-the-job training, opportunities to move to full-time for the right person, and you will support painters, tradespeople and the production team, including forklift operation.

Qualifications

• Strong safety focus and ability to follow Safe Work Instructions.
• Reliable, punctual with a positive approach to physical work.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good attention to detail and pride in quality.
• Experience in abrasive blasting or manufacturing advantageous but not essential.
• Forklift licence advantageous but not essential.
• Australian work rights.

Responsibilities

• Abrasive blasting steel components, frames and fabricated equipment.
• Cleaning, masking and preparing surfaces before and after blasting.
• Inspecting prepared surfaces and identifying areas requiring further work.
• Safely operating and caring for blasting equipment, hoses and tools.
• Moving and positioning materials using approved lifting aids.
• Maintaining a clean and safe blast booth and surrounding area.
• Assisting painters, tradespeople and production team members.
• Operating a forklift.

About the role

Truflo Pumping Systems is looking for a reliable and hardworking Casual Labourer to assist in our blast booth at our Bathurst manufacturing facility. Your primary responsibility will be abrasive blasting steel components and fabricated pump equipment to prepare them for painting.

This is a physically demanding, hands on position suited to someone who enjoys practical work, takes pride in producing a quality finish and understands the importance of following safety procedures. You will also assist painters, tradespeople and the broader production team when required.

What you will be doing

• Abrasive blasting steel components, frames and fabricated equipment
• Cleaning, masking and preparing surfaces before and after blasting

• Moving and positioning materials using approved lifting aids

• Assisting painters, tradespeople and production team members with general workshop duties
