Job summary

Shred-X Australia, part of the Freightways Ltd group, is seeking Morning Shift Factory Sorters for our Banyo recycling facility. Roles start as casual with potential to become full-time, performing sorting on conveyors, operating shredders, and recording inbound/outbound data.

Emphasis on safety, teamwork, and reliability. Ideal candidates bring stamina for repetitive tasks, a proactive attitude, and a commitment to Smart, Safe, and Service values.

Qualifications

• Forklift licence preferred but not essential.
• Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks safely and efficiently.
• Positive, proactive attitude and team-player mindset.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Sort material for destruction on conveyor belts and tables.
• Operate shredding and baling equipment according to safety and quality standards.
• Accurately record information for inbound and outbound loads.
• Perform pre-start checks on machinery and equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the facility and equipment.
• Assist with loading, unloading, and moving pallets, bins, and containers.
• Ensure loads are secure and meet quality requirements.
• Report any non-compliance or equipment issues to supervisors.

What You’ll Do
