Shred-X is seeking a safety-focused HR Driver to join our national team in Melbourne. You will drive routes five days a week, handle heavy bins, and deliver top-tier customer service while using a PDA to log collections.

Responsibilities

• Drive Melbourne CBD and metropolitan routes five days per week.
• Service a diverse client base across industries (e-waste, archives, textiles, pallets).
• Safely manage bins weighing up to 100 kg.
• Record collections and service tasks using a PDA.
• Perform daily vehicle checks and maintain cleanliness.
• Represent Shred-X professionally on-site and with clients.
• Follow WHS policies and client-specific procedures.

As part of the Freightways Group, one of Australasia’s leading logistics and information management companies, Shred-X is a national leader in secure document destruction, product disposal, and recycling services. We’re seeking a motivated team member who thrives on independence, takes pride in their work, and plays a key role in delivering top-tier customer service.

What You’ll Do

• Drive Melbourne CBD and metropolitan routes 5 days per week
• Service a diverse client base across various industries, including handling e-waste, archive boxes, textiles, and pallets.
• Safely manage bins weighing up to 100kg – an ideal role for someone who enjoys physical work.
• Use a PDA device to accurately record collections and service tasks.
• Complete daily vehicle checks and ensures roadworthiness and cleanliness.
• Represent Shred-X professionally on-site, ensuring top-tier customer interaction.
• Follow all company policies, WHS standards, chain of responsibility, and client-specific procedures.

What You Bring

• A valid Heavy Rigid (HR) truck license with a clean driving history.
• Previous experience in a physical driving role (e.g. freight or removalist-style work).
• Safe manual handling skills and physical fitness.
• Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player.
• Good communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.
• Comfortable with using handheld devices (PDA or similar tech).
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
