Columbia Aged Care in Chatswood, NSW is seeking a passionate Facility Services Manager to lead the daily operations and the physical environment of the aged care facility. You will oversee maintenance, housekeeping, security, and safety while ensuring regulatory compliance and high-quality resident care.

You will manage a multi-disciplinary team, liaise with other departments, and drive budgeting and strategic improvements to enhance living and working environments for residents and staff.

Qualifications

• Registration with AHPRA is required.
• Police Check is required.
• Australian work rights are required.
• Experience in facility management or related leadership roles is preferred.
• Knowledge of Aged Care Quality Standards is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day facility operations including maintenance, housekeeping and security.
• Develop and implement policies to meet regulatory standards and best practices.
• Lead and supervise a multi-disciplinary support team.
• Collaborate with departments to address facility needs and concerns.
• Conduct inspections and coordinate repairs or improvements as needed.
• Manage facility services budget and seek cost-effective solutions.
• Ensure health and safety protocols are followed at all times.

As a key member of the Care Services department, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the operations and physical environment of our facility to ensure the highest standards of safety, comfort, and well-being. In this role, you will be responsible for the efficient day-to-day operation of our Chatswood facility, leading support teams and maintaining a safe, vibrant living and working environment. Working under the Care Services department, your key responsibilities will include:

• Managing the day-to-day operations of the facility, including maintenance, housekeeping, and security services
• Developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices
• Leading and supervising a team of support staff, providing guidance and support as needed
• Collaborating with other departments to address facility-related needs and concerns
• Conducting regular inspections to identify maintenance issues and coordinating repairs or improvements as necessary
• Overseeing budgetary matters related to facility services and working to achieve cost-effective solutions
• Ensuring that health and safety protocols are followed at all times, promoting a culture of safety within the facility
• Acting as the primary point of contact for external vendors and contractors involved in facility service projects
• Participating in strategic planning efforts to enhance the overall quality of the facility environment
• Communicating effectively with senior management regarding facility-related developments and initiatives

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent organisational abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Previous experience in facilities management or a related field is highly desirable.
