Job summary

Bundaberg Regional Council is seeking a proactive Venues and Facilities Scoping Officer to support maintenance and minor works across Council-owned venues. You will inspect, scope and document maintenance activities, prepare cost estimates, and coordinate contractors and resources to keep facilities safe and welcoming for the community.

Working with trades staff and stakeholders, you will help plan and deliver maintenance projects that enhance community assets and support excellent customer

Qualifications

• Experience in the building industry across domestic, commercial or industrial environments.
• Experience scoping, coordinating and monitoring maintenance or minor works projects, including procurement, scheduling and budget oversight.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft applications and asset management or project scheduling systems.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build productive relationships with customers, contractors and colleagues.
• Commitment to quality, safety and customer-focused service delivery, supported by strong problem-solving and organisational skills.
• A trade qualification in Carpentry and experience in a local government environment would be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and scope maintenance activities across Council-owned venues and facilities.
• Prepare cost estimates and project documentation.
• Coordinate contractors and resources to deliver maintenance programs.
• Ensure facilities remain safe, functional and welcoming for the community.
• Plan and deliver maintenance projects in collaboration with trades staff and stakeholders.
