Job summary

Investa is seeking a facilities management professional to oversee day-to-day operations of our commercial buildings in Sydney. You will ensure high standards of presentation, safety and tenant experience while coordinating service providers and contractors.

You will manage budgets, compliance, and projects with a focus on safety, sustainability, and operational excellence, supporting a team and driving improvements across assets.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of assigned buildings with emphasis on presentation, safety, service and tenant experience.
• Build relationships with tenants and stakeholders to deliver responsive facilities management.
• Lead facilities services and contractors to meet safety and service standards with minimal disruption.
• Manage building compliance, essential services, audits and emergency procedures.
• Oversee OPEX/CAPEX budgeting and project delivery aligned with asset plans.
• Drive energy, water and waste reduction while maintaining tenant comfort.
• Coordinate facilities projects and tenant fit-outs within timeframes and budgets.
• Mentor team members and share knowledge to improve processes.

Your key responsibilities:

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of your assigned buildings, ensuring high standards of presentation, safety, service and tenant experience.
• Build strong relationships with tenants and stakeholders, delivering a responsive, customer-focused facilities management service.
• Lead and manage facilities management services and service providers to ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and to agreed service standards, with minimal disruption to tenants.
• Oversee building compliance, essential services, safety audits and emergency procedures, ensuring all statutory requirements and Investa standards are met.
• Manage building operations in line with approved strategic asset plans, including operating and capital expenditure (OPEX and CAPEX), budgeting and project delivery.
• Drive building performance and sustainability initiatives, with a focus on reducing energy, water and waste consumption while maintaining tenant comfort.
• Coordinate facilities projects, planned works and tenant fit-outs, ensuring delivery to agreed timeframes, budgets and quality standards.
• Support and mentor team members, sharing your technical knowledge and helping improve facilities management processes and operational outcomes.

What you bring:

• Experience in facilities and operations management, ideally within a commercial property or office environment.
• Strong technical knowledge of building operations, essential services, contractor management and workplace health, safety and environmental requirements.
• A customer-first mindset, with the ability to build trusted relationships and respond effectively to tenant needs.
• Experience managing budgets, coordinating projects and driving operational improvements.
• A proactive, solutions-focused approach, with strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
• A commitment to safety, sustainability and maintaining high standards across building operations.
• The confidence to lead, collaborate and support the development of others.
