Job summary

Oaks Adelaide Embassy Suites, part of Minor Hotels, is seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to oversee the operational management, maintenance and presentation of the property on a full-time basis.

Reporting to the General Manager, you will ensure safety, functionality and long-term value while coordinating with owners, residents and contractors. Strong knowledge of building systems and WHS compliance is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in facilities management, building management or property maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of building systems and preventative maintenance.
• Hands-on ability for repairs and fault finding.
• Contractor management and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Understanding of WHS legislation and compliance.
• Experience managing budgets and maintenance expenditures.
• Strong communication and organisational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operation of building infrastructure and common areas.
• Develop and oversee preventative maintenance programs.
• Coordinate repairs, maintenance works and capital improvement projects.
• Undertake minor repairs and general maintenance.
• Manage contractors and service providers across electrical, mechanical, HVAC, fire, security and cleaning services.
• Ensure all building services and equipment remain compliant and operational.
• Oversee health and safety, risk management and regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate emergency management procedures and after-hours maintenance.
• Assist with budgeting, expenditure control, procurement and capex planning.
• Maintain maintenance records and contractor documentation.
• Build relationships with owners, residents, contractors and stakeholders.
• Support sustainability initiatives and continuous improvement.
