Minor Hotels in Australia is seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to oversee facilities operations across Oaks Glenelg properties. You will ensure building systems operate safely and efficiently, manage vendor coordination, risk and safety compliance, and support major property projects.

The role requires hands-on maintenance, leadership of a facilities team, and capability in managing capital expenditure, with focus on sustainability initiatives.

Qualifications

• Hands-on maintenance or facilities management experience.
• Strong knowledge of building systems and compliance.
• Experience with painting, plastering and carpentry.
• Ability to lead and develop a facilities team.
• Experience implementing preventative maintenance programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preventative maintenance program for building systems.
• Provide hands-on repairs and maintenance as required.
• Oversee service areas including electrical, mechanical, pest control, cleaning, fire protection, security, hydraulics and contractor works.
• Manage building upkeep such as painting, plastering and carpentry.
• Ensure WHS compliance and regulatory requirements.
• Manage stock, purchasing, supplier coordination and cost-efficient resources.
• Prepare quotes, schedule works and manage Capex requests.
• Support Hotel Manager with recruitment, training and development of the Facilities team.
• Contribute to long-term asset planning and sustainability projects.
