Qualifications

• Extensive experience in facilities/property management across commercial, retail, or mixed-use sites.
• Skilled in managing multi-site operations using self-delivery and subcontractors.
• Strong budgeting, cost control, and performance reporting capabilities.
• Experienced in building and maintaining compliance with building codes, fire safety, and environmental standards.
• Proficient with FM systems (CMMS/CAFM) and Microsoft Office.
• Knowledgeable about asset lifecycle, preventive maintenance, and contractor oversight.

Downer has been awarded a major Integrated Facilities Management contract with Stockland, delivering services across a national portfolio of commercial offices, retail centres, logistics facilities and land lease communities. This long-term partnership reflects Downer's strength in managing large, complex portfolios and delivering high-quality services at scale.

We currently have multiple opportunities for Facility Managers to join our workforce across Stockland's Melbourne portfolio, playing a key role in the delivery and performance of integrated facilities services. Reporting to the Regional Manager, you'll help deliver high-quality outcomes for our client and our communities.

What You'll Do

This role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities including:

• Lead and support site teams to deliver safe, efficient, and customer-focused services by fostering a collaborative culture, setting clear expectations, and developing capability aligned with Stockland's values and operational goals.
• Driving operational excellence and team engagement through collaborative leadership.
• Ensuring commercial success through cost optimisation, workforce productivity, and capability development.
• Building strong, proactive relationships with Stockland stakeholders to deliver value and responsiveness.
• Identify and support site-level service improvements and collaborative delivery models in partnership with Stockland's site leadership to enhance operational performance and customer outcomes.

What You'll Bring

• Extensive experience in facilities/property management, ideally across commercial, retail, or mixed-use sites.
• Skilled in managing multi-site operations using both self-delivery and subcontractor models.
• Strong financial skills in budgeting, cost control, and performance reporting.
• Experienced in compliance with building codes, fire safety (e.g. BWOF), and environmental standards.
• Proficient in FM systems (e.g. CMMS, CAFM) and Microsoft Office.
• Knowledgeable in asset lifecycle, preventative maintenance, and contractor oversight.
