Job description

If you're an experienced Facilities Manager who enjoys variety, thrives on ownership, and takes pride in creating exceptional environments, this could be the opportunity you've been looking for.

We're seeking a proactive and relationship-focused Facilities Manager to oversee the presentation, maintenance, compliance and ongoing performance of a diverse property portfolio. This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same. You'll be managing everything from critical building services and maintenance programs through to contractor relationships, capital projects and tenant engagement.

Working closely with senior leadership, you'll play a key role in ensuring assets remain safe, compliant, operationally efficient and presented to the highest possible standard.

As Facilities Manager, you'll take ownership of the day-to-day operation of multiple assets and precincts, ensuring buildings are maintained to a consistently high standard and that tenants receive exceptional service. You'll oversee all base building services including HVAC, electrical, hydraulic, fire, security, lifts, cleaning and other essential services, ensuring maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with legislative requirements and operational needs.

You'll coordinate both preventative and reactive maintenance programs, responding quickly and effectively to minimise disruption and protect asset performance. From managing urgent maintenance requests through to overseeing after-hours works, outages and emergency responses, you'll be someone who enjoys solving problems and keeping things moving.

The role will also see you involved in capital works projects, budget management and long-term asset planning. You'll contribute to infrastructure upgrades, lifecycle planning and continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring assets continue to perform effectively now and into the future.

This role requires someone who understands the importance of strong relationships and quality service delivery.

You'll manage a range of contractors and service providers, ensuring performance, compliance and value for money are consistently achieved. You'll build trusted partnerships, conduct regular performance reviews and work collaboratively with suppliers to deliver the best outcomes for the business and its customers.

You'll also work closely with tenants and internal stakeholders, ensuring requests are actioned promptly, communication remains clear and service standards are maintained at all times. A strong customer service mindset and the ability to navigate competing priorities will be essential.

You'll assist in preparing and managing operating and capital expenditure budgets across the assets under your care. This includes monitoring expenditure, reviewing financial reporting, processing and approving invoices, and ensuring costs are accurately tracked and reported.

A commercial mindset will be important as you'll be responsible for balancing maintenance priorities, project delivery, compliance obligations and budget outcomes while ensuring a consistently high level of service.

Safety and compliance sit at the heart of this position.

You'll ensure contractors are appropriately inducted, licensed and compliant before undertaking any work. You'll oversee contractor safety performance, support investigations where required and ensure all work is completed in line with WHS requirements and company procedures.

You'll also take responsibility for ensuring buildings remain compliant with all relevant regulations, standards and testing requirements, proactively identifying risks and implementing practical solutions before issues arise.

You're a proactive and solutions-focused facilities professional who enjoys working autonomously while remaining highly collaborative. You have experience managing building services, contractors, maintenance programs and compliance requirements, and you're confident balancing operational demands with stakeholder expectations.

You're known for your communication skills, your ability to build strong relationships and your commitment to delivering a high level of customer service. Most importantly, you're someone who takes ownership, shows initiative and genuinely cares about maintaining exceptional facilities and customer experiences.

This is an opportunity to step into a genuinely varied role where you'll have the autonomy to make decisions, build strong relationships and contribute to the long-term success of a diverse property portfolio.

If you're looking for a role where you can make a visible impact, take pride in your work and be part of a supportive and professional team, we'd love to hear from you.
