Job summary

Pinpoint Property Recruitment is seeking a technically oriented Facilities Manager/Coordinator to own operations within a premium Melbourne mixed-use precinct. You’ll manage critical services, drive sustainability and lead contractor relationships across a high-visibility asset.

Qualifications

• Experience managing operations within premium commercial, mixed-use or complex built environments.
• Strong knowledge of building services, maintenance delivery and contractor management.
• Demonstrated experience in compliance, risk management and WHS.
• Exposure to budgeting, forecasting and capital works delivery.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and customer service skills.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to balance priorities.
• Trade qualifications or related tertiary qualification highly regarded, or a coordinating role seeking advancement.

• Contribute to budgets, forecasting and reporting for Opex and Capex.
• Support sustainability initiatives and ESG reporting while coordinating with tenants and owners.

The Opportunity

Our client is a property leader managing some of Australia's most prestigious commercial assets. An opportunity has arisen for a technically oriented Facilities Manager, or an experienced Facilities Coordinator looking to step up, to take ownership of operations within one of Melbourne's most exciting and innovative mixed-use precincts.

This is far more than a traditional facilities role. You'll be responsible for delivering exceptional building performance, managing critical services and compliance, leading contractor relationships, driving sustainability initiatives and partnering with a broad range of stakeholders across a highly visible and complex asset. Communication will be vital in this role, engaging with a mixture of internal and external stakeholders and service delivery partners! Working closely with the wider property team, you'll play a key role in ensuring the precinct continues to operate at the highest standard and level of presentation while supporting future growth and innovation!

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day operation of a premium mixed-use asset
• Manage preventative and reactive maintenance programs across base building services
• Oversee multiple service contractors and delivery partners, ensure contractual performance standards are met
• Drive compliance across essential services, fire safety, WHS and statutory obligations
• Conduct building inspections, risk assessments and operational audits
• On-going maintenance of the CMMS system and other information databases for relevant documentation management, evidence proofing.
• Co-ordinating of contractors for base building and tenant fitouts/makegoods, including onsite supervision and project management, approval of tenancy works and more.
• Contribute to operational and capital expenditure budgets, forecasting and reporting
• Support sustainability initiatives, ESG reporting and energy efficiency programsBuild strong relationships with tenants, contractors, ownership groups and internal stakeholder.

About You

We're seeking an experienced, technical facilities operations professional who enjoys taking ownership, solving problems and building strong stakeholder relationships.

You will ideally bring:

• Experience managing operations within premium commercial, mixed-use, health, education or complex built environments
• Strong knowledge of building services, maintenance delivery and contractor management
• Demonstrated experience in compliance, risk management and WHS
• Exposure to budget management, reporting and capital works delivery
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement and customer service skills
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to balance competing priorities
• Trade qualifications, facilities management qualifications or a related tertiary qualification will be highly regarded
