Job summary

Redland City Council is seeking a Business Improvement Project Officer to support the Facilities Services Unit. You’ll coordinate improvement initiatives, maintain project documentation, and provide updates to drive better asset management and service delivery.

The role emphasizes governance, reporting, and continuous improvement across systems and processes, with a strong emphasis on stakeholder engagement and collaboration within Council.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating business improvement initiatives in facilities, asset management or operational environments.
• Knowledge of facilities, business, project and contract management processes with governance and continuous improvement experience.
• Experience preparing and maintaining project documentation, status reports and presentations.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement.
• Analytical, research and problem-solving skills with initiative.
• Proficiency in MS Office and project management/asset management systems.
• Experience supporting asset management activities, including asset data management and maintenance planning will be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate business improvement initiatives and support minor projects in the Facilities Services Unit.
• Maintain project information and provide status updates through corporate systems.
• Research and identify opportunities to improve processes and service delivery.
• Support asset management activities including data maintenance and maintenance planning.
• Prepare reports, presentations, and other documentation for decision-making and governance.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across Council to implement continuous improvement.
