Job description

Facilities Coordinator – Commercial Building Maintenance

Major Commercial Clients | Account Ownership | Career Growth

Are you an experienced Maintenance Coordinator, Facilities or building services professional ready to take ownership of client accounts?

We’re looking for a commercially minded professional to join our growing Building Maintenance Service Team, coordinating maintenance works and building strong, long-term client relationships.

This is a practical portfolio management role. You’ll be the main contact for your clients and stay closely involved in daily delivery: preparing quotes, scheduling trades, resolving issues and making sure work is completed safely, on time and profitably.

The Opportunity

Our Head of Construction brings new clients into the business. You’ll take ownership of those accounts following handover and turn agreed commitments into reliable, ongoing service.

You’ll set up service delivery arrangements for new accounts, coordinate reactive and planned maintenance, and develop existing client relationships.

You’ll own the client relationship and coordinate the work behind it. That means understanding what each client needs, keeping trades and subcontractors organised, monitoring costs and following jobs through to completion.

You’ll enjoy both sides of the role: developing client relationships and managing the daily detail needed to deliver on your commitments.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Onboarding new client accounts and establishing clear communication and service delivery processes
  • Acting as the main contact for clients, providing updates and resolving service issues
  • Coordinating reactive repairs, planned maintenance and minor building works
  • Scheduling trades, subcontractors and resources across multiple jobs and sites
  • Preparing quotes, reviewing trade reports and presenting practical solutions
  • Monitoring job costs, margins and completion against agreed requirements
  • Managing client expectations, compliance and contractual obligations
  • Identifying additional maintenance needs and opportunities to grow existing accounts
  • Improving processes, response times and overall service performance
  • Success means satisfied clients, well-managed jobs and commercially sound accounts.
About You

You may currently be a Maintenance Coordinator, Facilities Supervisor, Assistant Facilities Manager, Service Coordinator or Facilities Account Manager looking for greater ownership and variety.

You’ll bring:
  • Experience in building maintenance, facilities management or trade-based services
  • Confidence coordinating trades and subcontractors across multiple jobs
  • Commercial awareness, including experience preparing quotes and monitoring costs
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Clear communication and confidence managing client expectations
  • A practical approach to interpreting trade reports and solving problems
  • The ability to build relationships and recognise opportunities for further work
  • A willingness to take responsibility and follow issues through to resolution
