Job summary

CGC Recruitment partners with a leading Tier 1 commercial contractor in Perth to recruit a Senior Project Engineer for a high-value refurbishment and remediation project. The role focuses on façade, waterproofing and complex building remediation from design through to construction.

The successful candidate will manage design coordination, cost planning, procurement and delivery, liaising with consultants and subcontractors to achieve practical, buildable solutions on a major existing commercial

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Senior Project Engineer with a Tier 1 or Tier 2 commercial building contractor.
• Strong experience in façade systems, waterproofing, building remediation or complex refurbishment projects.
• Demonstrated ability to manage projects from design development and pre-construction through to delivery.
• Sound commercial understanding, including estimating, procurement and cost management.
• Strong technical problem-solving abilities and the confidence to manage complex building challenges.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work autonomously, take ownership and drive project outcomes.
• Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Engineering or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Lead the engineering and delivery of complex façade, waterproofing and remediation works.
• Coordinate architects, engineers and specialist consultants to develop practical and buildable design solutions.
• Manage technical reviews, design documentation and resolution of existing building defects.
• Oversee scoping, cost planning, estimating and preparation of construction budgets.
• Manage subcontractor tendering, procurement, negotiations and appointments.
• Drive construction programmes, project costs, quality and subcontractor performance.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, consultants and key stakeholders.
• Take ownership of technical challenges and ensure delivery to completion.
