Triton Environmental Consultants, Ltd. in Melbourne is seeking an experienced trade-qualified Fabricator to join our Service / PreDelivery Department, assisting in the fabrication and fit-out of trucks prior to delivery.

This hands-on role offers diverse tasks in a modern workshop, with opportunities to develop skills across a range of fabrication, welding and mounting activities while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Trade qualifications in Metal Fabrication, Welding, Body Building or a related trade.
• Trade related experience in automotive industry is required.
• Workshop related experience preferred.
• Current Driver's Licence; HR/HC licences preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with repair, manufacture or modify mechanical parts of trucks and trailers such as suspensions, chassis, and brackets.
• Assist with fabrication / welding tasks including fitting of weight gauges, bumper bars, wheel base modification works.
• Ensure all accessories requested on repair orders are fitted and completed.
• Identify and advise of any additional work required.
• Ensure work completed is checked and of high quality.
• Produce clear reports detailing work carried out and materials used in repair orders.
• Maintain a strong focus on safety, quality and workmanship.

We are currently seeking an experienced and trade-qualified Fabricator worker to join our Service / PreDelivery Department, where you'll play a key role in preparing and customising some of the best trucks on the market.

About the Role

Working in a modern, well-equipped workshop, you will be responsible for producing high-quality fabrication and fit-out work on new trucks prior to delivery. This is an engaging, hands-on role that offers diverse work and the opportunity to develop your skills across a range of tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with repair, manufacture or modify mechanical parts of trucks and trailers such as suspensions, chassis, and brackets
• Assist with fabrication / welding tasks - such as fitting of weight gauges, bumper bars, wheel base modification works, and the like
• Ensure all accessories requested on repair orders are fitted and completed
• Identify and advise of any additional work required
• Ensure work completed is checked and good quality
• Produce clear and concise report detailing all work carried out on repair orders including supplies used and recommendations in a prioritised order
• Maintain a strong focus on safety, quality and workmanship

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Trade qualifications in Metal Fabrication, Welding, Body Building or a related trade

• Trade related experience in automotive industry
• Workshop related experience preferred

• A commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship
• Strong attention to detail and pride in your work
• Ability to work efficiently to meet deadlines
• Current Driver's Licence
• HR/HC Drivers Licence preferred
