Job summary

CMV Truck & Bus Pty is seeking an experienced Sheet Metal/Fabricator to join our Delivery Department in Adelaide. You will produce high‑quality fabrication and fit-out work on new trucks, in a modern workshop, with opportunities to develop skills across a range of tasks.

You will repair, fabricate and modify components, install custom accessories and assist with vehicle fit-outs while maintaining safety, quality and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Trade qualifications in Metal Fabrication, Welding, Body Building or a related trade.
• TIG and MIG welding (Aluminum, stainless and mild steel).
• Experience within transport engineering, heavy vehicles or a similar industry.
• A commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in your work.
• Ability to work efficiently to meet deadlines.
• Current Driver's Licence.

Responsibilities

• Repair, manufacture and modify truck and trailer components, including chassis, suspensions, stainless steel panels and brackets.
• Fabricate and install custom accessories and equipment.
• Assist with vehicle fit-outs, including cab accessories, bumper bars, fridges, microwaves, toolboxes and more.
• Ensure all customer-requested accessories are fitted to a high standard and completed on time.
• Work collaboratively with fitters, painters, auto electricians and other workshop team members.
• Maintain a strong focus on safety, quality and workmanship.

We are currently seeking an experienced and trade-qualified Sheet Metal/fabricator worker to join our Delivery Department, where you'll play a key role in preparing and customising some of the best trucks on the market.

About the Role

Working in a modern, well-equipped workshop, you will be responsible for producing high-quality fabrication and fit-out work on new trucks prior to delivery. This is an engaging, hands-on role that offers diverse work and the opportunity to develop your skills across a range of tasks.

Key Responsibilities
