Job summary

NRMA Parks and Resorts is seeking a hands-on Head of Food & Beverage to lead the operation across Pumphouse Point and Derwent Bridge Hotel. You’ll coach and mentor a high-performing team, delivering exceptional guest experiences through storytelling and local-region connections.

This senior role requires strong leadership, a passion for hospitality, and hands-on involvement on the floor. Manage rosters, budgets and drive service excellence in a remote Tasmanian setting.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership in quality F&B within hospitality or luxury settings.
• Ability to coach and mentor teams; drive service excellence.
• Experience managing busy restaurant/bar/multi-outlet operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team of F&B Supervisors and Attendants to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
• Oversee day-to-day F&B operations across two properties.
• Create memorable dining experiences by storytelling and hospitality.
• Lead service across breakfast, lunch, dinner, bar, events and group functions.
• Drive revenue growth through upselling and cross-selling.
• Manage rostering, labour costs, payroll processes and workforce planning.
• Ensure high standards of presentation, cleanliness and service.
• Oversee events and group bookings from setup to service.
• Manage guest feedback and proactively resolve issues.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and business planning.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, training and ongoing team development.
• Maintain food safety compliance and licensing requirements.
