Job summary

SkyPoint on the Gold Coast is seeking a proactive F&B, Events and Guest Service Team Leader. This full-time, 38 hours per week role leads Attendants during events and manages day-to-day restaurant and bar operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences.

You will train and motivate frontline staff, plan rosters, coordinate with the Events Manager, and maintain service standards across busy events while prioritising safety and presentation.

Qualifications

• Previous leadership experience in a high-volume events or hospitality setting.
• Passion and enthusiasm for delivering outstanding guest service.
• Ability to train, coach and motivate frontline team members.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Experience working with POS systems and cash handling.
• Willingness to perform manual handling tasks and work across five days, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise SkyPoint Attendants during events, ensuring exceptional service.
• Lead day-to-day shift operations in the Bistro & Bar, ensuring smooth service.
• Manage staff breaks and rostering to maintain service coverage.
• Conduct pre-shift briefings with key updates and daily objectives.
• Oversee event setup, operation, and pack down; manual handling is involved.
• Collaborate with the Events Manager to ensure smooth execution.
• Handle guest inquiries during events and provide timely resolutions.
• Provide training for event and F&B staff to meet event demands.
• Ensure venue spaces meet cleanliness and presentation standards.

To be successful, you should have:

• Previous leadership experience within a similar high-volume events or hospitality environment;
• Passion and enthusiasm for delivering an outstanding guest service experience;
• Ability to lead by example, train, coach and motivate and engage team members at the frontline;
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills;
• Experience working with POS Database Systems and competent cash handling/management;
• Ability to perform manual handling and physically demanding work tasks;
• Availability to be rostered across five days flexibility with working hours is essential as weekend, early morning and evening work is involved.

Your new day-to-day:

• Lead and supervise SkyPoint Attendants during events, ensuring exceptional customer service and guest interaction.
• Lead day-to-day shift operations in our Bistro & Bar, ensuring smooth service delivery.
• Manage staff breaks and ensure efficient rostering to maintain adequate service coverage at all times.
• Conduct pre-shift briefings, communicating key operational updates, menu changes, and daily objectives to the team.
• Oversee event setup, operation, and pack down. Manual handling tasks are heavily included in this position.
• Collaborate with the Events Manager and other team members to ensure smooth event execution.
• Handle guest inquiries during events, ensuring timely resolution and a positive experience.
• Provide training for event and F&B staff, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills to meet event demands.
• Ensure venue and event spaces meet cleanliness and presentation standards before, during, and after events.
