Job summary

SkyPoint Attendants in Surfers Paradise are sought for seasonal casual shifts across Food & Beverage, Guest Services and Events. Work on the iconic SkyPoint observation deck, on the 77th floor of the Q1 building, 230 metres above the Gold Coast.

Roles run from mid-November 2026 to early February 2027 with potential for ongoing vacancies thereafter. Flexibility for weekends, early mornings and evenings is essential; group interviews are scheduled onsite on 28 October 2026.

Qualifications

• Previous high-volume food service or hospitality experience.
• Passion for delivering outstanding customer service.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
• Experience with POS systems and cash handling.
• Able to perform manual handling and meet physical demands.
• Hold a current Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate.
• Second language is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and provide service excellence across Food & Beverage, Events and Guest Services.
• Process entry tickets and generate sales at SkyPoint.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and venue presentation on the observation deck and dining areas.

For Your Application To Be Successful, You Should Have

• Experience working with POS Systems and competent with cash handling.
• Ability to perform manual handling and physically demanding work tasks.

• Ability to speak a second language would be highly desirable.

Your New Day To Day

The role of a SkyPoint Attendant is to positively engage with our guests and provide service excellence and efficient operations across our Food & Beverage, Events and Guest Services departments. Guest Services provides the first point of contact for our visitors at SkyPoint by welcoming guests in a friendly and professional manner; facilitating front entry, processing entry tickets and generating sales. A beaming smile for a warm welcome is essential!

Once on the observation deck, our Food & Beverage operation provides an all-day dining experience in our Bistro & Bar, whilst our team also maintain a high standard of cleanliness and venue presentation, ensuring an exceptional SkyPoint experience is delivered to our guests.

These positions are available to commence from mid-November 2026 with an end date of early February 2027. Seasonal team members will have the opportunity to apply for any ongoing vacancies at the end of the contract period. Good availability throughout peak holiday periods and flexibility with working hours is essential as weekend, early morning and evening work is involved.
