Sydney Zoo in Western Sydney is seeking a motivated F&B Crew member to join our hospitality team. You will be handling cashier, barista, storeperson, function waiter, cook and occasional team leadership tasks to ensure a high standard of service and food quality across our venue.

The role requires flexibility to work varied shifts including weekdays, weekends and public holidays, with a strong emphasis on safety and guest experience. Join us in a vibrant, animal-focused environment.

F&B Crew at Sydney Zoo

Located in the heart of Western Sydney, Sydney Zoo strives to showcase a broad range of native and exotic animals using technology and advanced exhibit design, with a strong focus on animal welfare, conservation, and educating our visitors about animals and their habitats. Environmental and social awareness play a vital role in our message that highlights the indigenous culture and human influence on the environment.

The Position

This is an outstanding opportunity to be part of an exciting team at Sydney zoo in the role of our F&B Crew, utilizing your skills in an area that you are genuinely passionate about. This role will commence as soon as possible.

The Food & Beverage Crew will ensure that Sydney Zoo customers have an amazing experience at all points, they are served efficiently and professionally with a high level of customer service and food quality. The Food & Beverage Crew will be responsible for a variety of tasks in the following roles as required.

• Cashier
• Barista
• Storeperson
• Function Waiters
• Cook (Food Preparation)
• Team Leader

Skills, Knowledge, and Relevant Experience

ESSENTIAL

• A passion for providing excellent customer service.
• Outgoing, confident, and friendly personality.
• Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Professional personal presentation.
• Demonstrated ability to work within a team to deliver outstanding results and theenthusiasm and initiative to deliver exceptional customer service.
• Can-do positive attitude and a quick learner who will make a fast start in the role.
• Ability to work well under pressure and strong multitasking skills.
• Knowledge and commitment to Workplace Health and Safety and Equal EmploymentOpportunity.
• Legal working rights in Australia.
• Availability to work various shifts including weekdays, weekends, and public holidays.
• Must be able to meet the physical demands of the role as outlined.

DESIRABLE

• Previous experience operating registers, POS systems, and cash handling.
• Previous experience in the hospitality/food service industry.
• Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Accreditation.
