Job summary

C&K Mooloolah Community Kindergarten is hiring for an Extended Kindergarten Coordinator to lead and support children’s learning in a welcoming, family-friendly setting. The permanent part-time role runs Monday to Friday, 1:15pm–6:15pm, with extra hours during school holidays, offering a competitive hourly rate and retention bonus.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care is required.
• Active pursuit of ACECQA approved Early Childhood Teaching qualification is desirable.
• Completion of National Child Safety Training – Foundation Certificate is required.
• First Aid, CPR and Asthma and Anaphylaxis certificates are required.
• Blue Card or Exemption Card must be valid.
• Current National Police Check is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and work alongside an Educator to support and guide children’s learning and development.
• Extend educational experiences for kindergarten children during the Extended Hours Program.
• Contribute to a positive, safe and nurturing learning environment.
• Participate in planning and delivering after-school activities during school terms and holidays.

Our Extended Hours Program seamlessly continues children’s learning beyond the kindergarten day. As our highly respected Extended Kindergarten Coordinator at C&K Centre Mooloolah, you will lead and work alongside an Educator to support and guide children’s learning and development, nurturing them to become curious, capable and confident lifelong learners. This program offers a unique opportunity to extend educational experiences for kindergarten children, while bringing your own skills, strengths and professional expertise to enrich the role and learning environment.

C&K Mooloolah is located on the corner of King Road and Bray Road, a short 5-minute walk from the Mooloolah State School. The service operates one unit with places for up to 25 children and currently holds an NQS rating of ‘exceeding’.

What you’ll bring

To thrive and succeed in this role, you will have or be willing to work towards:

• A minimum of a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care
• Actively working towards an ACECQA approved Early Childhood Teaching qualification (highly desirable but not essential)
• Completion of the National Child Safety Training – Foundation Certificate
• First Aid, CPR and Asthma and Anaphylaxis certification
• Valid Blue Card or Exemption Card
• Current National Police Check
