Job summary

NGARE EMPLOYMENT SOLUTIONS PTY LTD in Cairns, Queensland is seeking Expressions of Interest from experienced Bulk Earthworks Supervisors to join a major infrastructure project in the Cairns region on a 2 weeks on, 1 week off roster. You will lead high-performing crews, oversee daily earthworks operations, and drive safety and quality on site.

The role requires interpreting plans, coordinating with engineers and subcontractors, and maintaining schedules.

Qualifications

• Proven experience supervising bulk earthworks, civil construction, mining, or infrastructure projects.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Understanding of earthmoving equipment, site operations, and construction methodologies.
• Ability to interpret project plans, specifications, and drawings.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Commitment to safety and productive work environment.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

• Proven experience supervising bulk earthworks, civil construction, mining, or infrastructure projects
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Sound understanding of earthmoving equipment, site operations, and construction methodologies
• Ability to interpret project plans, specifications, and construction drawings
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Commitment to maintaining a safe and productive work environment
• Current driver's licence
• Relevant industry certificates and qualifications

Highly Regarded

• Previous experience on large‑scale civil, mining, transport, or infrastructure projects
• Certificate IV in Civil Construction Supervision or relevant experience
• Supervisor Qualification - G1, 8, 9
• RIIs and associated civil construction competencies
